The Execution Of Milton Hall, Justice For Milton Hall!

Detroit civil rights leader threatens to ‘shut Saginaw down’ if officers involved in Milton Hall death are not fired.

SAGINAW, MI — A Detroit civil rights leader was at the Saginaw city council meeting Aug. 28 to ask Saginaw leaders why six officers involved in the shooting death of Milton Hall are back working desk jobs at the department.

If he does not get the answer he wants, the Rev. Charles E. Williams II, president of the Michigan Chapter of the National Action Network, said he will be back.

“We want the officers fired,” Williams said in a phone interview earlier. “If they’re not fired, we’re prepared to hold a mass demonstration in Saginaw. We’ll make it a national issue and shut Saginaw down.”

During the press conference, Williams called the shooting of Hall “A modern day lynching.” He said he believes the killing was racially motivated.

Racist six Saginaw City Police officers were involved in the shooting death of Milton Hall. They shot him 11 times, but shot at him 46 times! – –

the police will always say they felt they were in clear and present danger. there were a dozen or so of them, armed to the teeth. there was one old, mentally ill man, armed with a small knife. this shooting is not justified. my brother was gunned down in a similar manner in june of 2012. he was drunk, suicidal, and most importantly, unarmed. he was surrounded in an enclosed area and posed no threat to anyone. yet he was mowed down by the police because according to them, he made them do it.

  2. Richard Warner says:

Anyway, Mr. Williams, thanks for standing up for Milton.

  3. Richard Warner says:

Rev. Williams, there are no political points to be scored in this case. Old black crazy man with a knife shot by cops. Case closed. Jesse and Al and Barack no where to be found on this one.

The big issue for Milton is that we all are pretty sure that if he had just put the knife down, he would be alive today. Easy to blame Milton for the outcome. Yet, though that may be true, the police response was unjustified.

Would not surpise me if Milton was tired of living on his knees and being forced to do every capricious whim that Authority foisted on him. Would not surprise me if he was terrified by the police dog. Would not surprise me if a little calm reassuring talk was all that was needed. [If video had shown him charging someone, brandishing knife, Milton would not have my support…but it does not.]

    Anyway

  4. Richard Warner says:

“He was a bum and it is not worth destroying these six cops career” seems to be the message. The city of Saginaw is stalling, stalling, stalling, hoping this will all die down and that people will lose the will to pursue it.

Milton, I would like to know your story, would like to know about previous run-ins with cops and “county”. What does “county” mean? Sheriffs? County building and planning? Have personally seen county bureaucrats do a lot of damage to lives from behind their desks. What is your story Milton, were you homeless because you were mentally ill, or mentally ill because you were homeless? Did the County make you homeless? What is your story?

Your life very much is worth destroying the careers of these six cops. The bigger message is that we will not accept abuse of authority, whether by corporation, police, bureaucrat, or military.

    • Thomas says:

He was a human being who was obviously mentally ill; the cops had other options, but not only did they disregard those options, they used force that was beyond excessive. They killed this man 48 times! And judging by your statements, you must be worthless murdering pig yourself!!!

  5. Richard Warner says:

Send these cops to prison! Send these cops to prison! Justice for Milton Hall and his family. Do not cover up or sweep under the carpet abuse of authority.

  6. Richard Warner says:

No they can boast that they killed someone. Jesus! Nation should be demanding justice for Milton more than Trayvon. But this black man was old and homeless, and carrying a small knife (knives under 6″ blade are generally LEGAL). It is not a capital crime to refuse a police order. He called the cops, but was (rightfully) afraid of them when they showed up threatening him with a police dog. I wonder if he kept the knife as he was afraid for himself, afraid of them?

He was old, homeless, and mentally ill. Obey us or die!!! Nothing to see here.

The cops had other options for this man whose only crime was not respecting their authority: 1) Back away and talk reassuringly to him; 2) Negotiator and family; 3) Pepper spray and mace; 4) Taser; 5) Rubber bullets and bean bag; 6) Tranquilizer darts; 7) Forcefully disarm; 8) Warning shot; 9) Single shot to leg; 10) Single shot to torso.

With hollow-point rounds (standard police issue) he should have been disabled and dying from one shot at that distance of 10′ away, 46 shots were never necessary and endangered the whole community. To shoot Milton, Milton must have been directly MENACING a cop or someone else with this legal knife, and he WAS NOT.

  7. Richard Warner says:

KS, no one cares about your youtube channel, this isn’t about you.

Oh wait, a man got killed when as best I could tell his actions were defensive. No wat to defend tgis police response, unlike Trayvon Martn case. They are dragfing out their “answers” to let people cool down and forget. This was murder by six of the worst shots and highest-strung cops ever. I suspect the lady cop just freaked out and did not know how to handle the situation, then others joined in. How many were lady cops?

Meeting all these quotas and what-not, this is an example of what happens when you hire based on B.S. criteria and not on ability to do the job.

  8. Roland Lawrence says:

Williams wants these officers fired? They need to be tried in California, and face deathrow.
