DETROIT AFSCME 207 WATER STRIKE ENDS IN VICTORY

Some of the AFSCME Local 207 Crew Five workers who walked out Sunday on behalf not only of their own contract, but the right of the people of Detroit 40 percent of Michigan’s population to have clean, safe water and a healthy environment. The strike took place after the Water Board announced a $48 million contract with the EMA Group to eliminate 81 percent of the DWSD workforce.
